Celebrating 10 Years in business. Now in bigger and better location in South Yarmouth
There are over 1000 frame samples from which to choose; from ornate gold and silver to weathered drift wood. Three major suppliers deliver weekly to minimize turn around time. I also utilize several smaller suppliers for specialty frames and the more unusual. And for those who like metal poster frames, there is a complete line of Nielsen Metal Frames including their OEM line in most every color imaginable. I also have an extensive line of fillets. And for the artist, check out my ready mades.
FRAME PRICING
Frames are priced by the supplier and based on size. I can measure your artwork and give you an exact price quote at the design table. If you wish I can compare costs or steer you toward a less expensive frame.
Ready mades are usually available in standard sizes; 8x10, 11x14 and 16x20. Sometimes they are a by-product of mis-ordering or over ordering and sometimes they are specifically selected for style or economy. Some ready mades are pre-fitted with backing boards, mats and glass for the water color artist or photographer. I have an assortment of plein air frames. Occasionally when I have the time and extra frame stock I make up ready mades to put out for sale at reasonable prices. Check them out!
All mats are acid free. I do not keep any paper mats in stock as I do not want to have them mixed in with the acid free mats. I carry Peterboro, Crescent Select, Artcare by NielsenBainbridge and Artique by Larson-Juhl.
Specialty mats may be color core, solid core, fabric, metallic or specialty surface mats.
Standard mat size is 32"x 40". Any larger project with one or more dimension over this size that requires an over sized mat (40"x 60") is available.
When setting up your project where a multi-opening mat will show it off to its best advantage, we can use a Computerized Mat Cutter.
We carry two full lines of quality glass; TruVue, the long-time industry standard here in the USA and ArtGlass which is Europe's number one choice in picture framing. We will be glad to take the time to show you the difference in glass choices and explain the properties which will enhance and protect your art work. We have everything from regular clear glass to glass that offers 99% UV protection to different types (and priced) anti reflective glasses to Museum Glass which combines both anti-reflective quality and 99% UV protection.
We also have several options in acrylic.
Harwich Frame Shop has a state of the art mechanical dry-mount machine. We also carry Mountcor Dry-mount board which offers permanent dry-mounting at the lowest possible temperatures. Mountcor works well with the glossy high quality photographic papers which are now so popular. Mountcor Canvas is also available for giclees and heavier materials and of course canvas. We also have a full line of KoolTack which is reversible for those items which require other than permanent dry-mounting.
Harwich Frame Shop offers canvas stretching as well as canvas dry-mounting. We carry a stock of Frederix Stretcher Bars for quick and economical canvas stretching for the hobbyist as well as our artist friends. We also carry high quality stretchers and strainers from Jack Richeson & Co. We can do dry- mounting of different grades of canvas and linen on boards for those who prefer to paint on board.
We do strive to be a full-service frame shop!
